Is Being Gay a Sin?

Today in America, many Churches feed their flock a very watered down version of the Gospel, if at all. Main stream pastors and evangelist are so consumed with hurting someone’s feelings, or maybe they’re just more interested in lining their pockets than saving souls, that they refuse to speak the truth of the Gospel. Instead, they avoid the question when asked, is homosexuality a sin? In fact, some pastors and evangelist completely AVOID speaking of sin altogether. This is EXTREMELY disturbing!

Please understand, I’m not here to judge, I’m here to present the TRUTH of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ tells us. Because, we all have sinned and the scriptures tell us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). As a Christian, I’m not here to condemn, criticize or judge, but, I must present the truth of God’s Word. It’s how each Christian is to show their love for non-believers, by speaking God’s truth. We provide the information for non-believers then it’s up to each of you to make your own decision.

So, is being gay a sin?

Yes, it is.

Why? Because God created male and female to be together and to become as one. We’re told in;

Genesis 2:24 ~ For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become as one flesh.

Romans 1:26,27 ~ For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

Matthew 19:4-6 ~ And He answered and said, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.

While homosexuality is a sin, it’s definitely not the only sin mankind must contend with. Because as humans we are naturally sinful. Any sexual immorality God looks down on. Why? Look what is said in 1 Corinthians;

1 Corinthians 6:17-20 ~ But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

The choice is yours, but, God doesn’t like it when we practice sexual immorality because it makes a mockery out of His creation, out of the sancification of marriage, out of the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Church. Look what is said about the Kingdom of god and the unrighteous;

1 Corinthians 6:9,10 ~ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Can those who’ve committed those sins be forgiven?

YES, absolutely! It’s why the Gospel of Jesus Christ exist.

1 Corinthians 6:11 ~ Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the spirit of our God.

But as stated before, the Choice is yours to make, you can choose to be forgiven of your sins by accepting the Son of God, Jesus, as your Lord and Savior who paid the penalty for us all by sacrificing Himself on the cross, or, you can choose the way of this world. Completely up to you! But look what Christ Jesus says in Revelations;

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral persons, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

Revelation 22:14,15

You see, it’s not just about being gay, it’s all sin!

    Yes, it’s very sad that so many struggle with this and now in California I heard they have made it against the law to tell people that they can be delivered from homosexuality. They also tried to outlaw the Bible, but that didn’t pass, thank God.
