Light

These scriptures in John 1 shows us that Jesus is the Word of God and is God and that he made everything.

These scriptures also say that Jesus gives life and the life was the light of men.

The life Jesus gives us is our own spirit that is given to all humans at conception, without our own spirit we could not live and grow.

In the Old Testament and New Testament, the scriptures say that God the Father gave us all our own spirit:

Hebrews 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!

Numbers 27:16 “May the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation

Zechariah 12:1 An oracle of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:

Our spirit is a light within us.

Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Proverbs 20:20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.

Now read these scriptures, it says plainly that Jesus is life and the life that was the light of men, that he lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  The Old Testament scriptures say God the Father is the one who gives all humans their spirit that gives them light.  This proves that Jesus is God the Father come in the flesh as a son.

The Beginning

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made

Blessed are the Meek

Sometimes I really like to focus on the beatitudes because I enjoy reading what the scriptures tell me about those who believe in Christ and in God will end up. For instance, when I spoke of those who are poor in Spirit, the Scriptures state that theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Which for me means their home is the Kingdom of Heaven. Knowing this brings me to the next beatitude which reads;

How is this important to Christians, the Church or Religion?

As part of the Church it’s important for Christians to evaluate where they stand. One of the ways I can do this is by using the Beatitudes as a type of measurement tool. But to fully understand this scripture better lets take a look at other words that could easily replace the word Meek. A few of these are, timid, shy, reserved, bashful, introverted, quite, modest, humble, obedient, peaceful, gentle, kind, softhearted, merciful, forgiving, patient, gracious, pleasant, lowly, mild, easygoing and warmhearted.

But what is the actual meaning?

The word meek is defined as someone who is patient and mild; not inclined to anger or resentment according to the American Collins Online Encyclopedia. And when you read this same scripture from the Amplified Bible, it reads;

Blessed[inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle[the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled] for they will inherit the earth.

This particular scripture really makes me think about the Lord Jesus’s character and how it could easily be a reflection of Him and those who follow Him. So I could easily see the word gentle replaced with humble, obedient, peaceful, merciful and forgiving or even lowly. But notice what else this scriptures states, they will inherit the earth.

Can you imagine, living on earth at a time where there is no war, no disease, no hate, no famines, but, GOD’S TRUTH, LOVE, RESPECT and our KING!

May God’s Grace bless you daily,
bring you closer to the Lord Jesus Christ
and Sanctify you in God’s Truth!

This Video Could Save Your Life

After watching this video you will never see the world the same again. If you’re struggling as a Christian, this is breaking Christian News that all Christians and non-believers need to be aware of. It could potentially save your life. If you’re a none believer, maybe it’s time for you to change your path and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. This video exposed a global plan for a one world government or as some call it, the Great Reset. You will see how some blaspheme God and the Lord Jesus Christ and consider the Bible as Fake News. Within the video it states unless you are in complete compliance with them, you will NOT be able to buy food, travel, go to the doctor, or be within society. This is prophecy found within the Bible speaking of the MARK OF THE BEAST!

Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, follow Him and refuse the mark of the Beast, will have eternal life. Unfortunately, many people walk blindly through this world never questioning anything, including Christians. They trust the government, doctors, and political leaders to lead them safely, however, these are mere men trying to be God. They have one agenda, a global governance. So watch this video through the lens of the Bible.

But remember;

We all have sinned, we all have turned away from God, so, God sent His son into the world to save us. We are God’s creation, made in His image. The Bible tells us;

So God’s Son, took on flesh and was born of a virgin. In Hebrew His name is Yeshua/Yehoshua the Mashiach (Messiah) of Natsareth, and in English, Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, whom we call Jesus Christ.

He preached to the Jewish people the need to repent of ones sins and turn back to God. And when you repent of your sins and believe in Him as the Son of God, the Lord Jesus the Christ, you would move from death to life. But this teaching went against the Jewish religious leaders of the time, so, together with the Roman empire they conspired to have the Lord put to death.

Christ was sacrificed on a tree, completely sinless and those who believe in Him His blood covers them through the Covenant. The Scripture reads;

But something amazing happened. On the 3rd day, the Lord Jesus Christ rose, the scriptures read;

Yes, Jesus rose and He ascended back into Heaven with God the Father. But there are many who still doubt this ever took place. But let me say this, there are thousands of people who have had a supernatural awakening, me included. The time is now to turn back to God before it’s too late! Our world is changing fast, things are happening that beyond man’s control. Put your faith in the ONLY one who can save you, the Lord Jesus Christ!

How do you know if you’ve sinned?
Have you ever told a lie?
Ever stole a piece of candy or taken money from your mom’s purse without asking?
Had sex before marriage?
Used God’s name as a cuss word?
Lusted for a new house, new car, new boyfriend or husband?

Many never realize that every action, every word, and even our thoughts can go against God. When we put our family, our wants and desires above God we’re guilty of idolatry! So Pray to Jesus, call out to Him, because religion can’t help you, only HE can!

Get on your knees, cry out to Jesus with a broken heart letting
him know you’re a sinner and you repent of all your sins. Name
every single one of them that you can remember. After you’ve
done this step, tell Him you believe in Him, you believe in His
name and you believe in the one who sent you. And you want
Him to be your Lord and Savior so you can follow in His footsteps.

Remember, Jesus is Lord and He is coming back!

Fear of the Lord

It’s at this point many Christians raise the objection that this is Old Testament scripture and doesn’t apply to the New Testament. But, I have found the complete opposite. Because everything spoken of in the New Testament can be backed up in the Old Testament. Let me say this, every Christian has a responsibility to study God’s Word because it is our own salvation that is at stake. But to bring further awareness to this, let’s look at some additional scriptures;

Matthew 10:28 – And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

2 Corinthians 7:1 – Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the Fear of God.

1 Peter 2:17 – Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, Honor the King.

Acts 9:31 – So the Church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the LORD and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

Hebrews 12:28 – Therefore, since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.

1 Peter 1:17 – Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct yourselves in reverent fear during your stay as foreigners.

Philippians 2:12 – So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Revelation 14:7 – And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the Heaven and the earth, and sea and springs of water.

Romans 3:10,18 – As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

The last scripture I’m sharing found in the Old Testament, actually gives the reason why we should fear the Lord, it reads;

It’s our fear of the LORD GOD, that keeps us walking upright in the path of righteousness through the Holy Spirit. The Lord tells us throughout scripture not to fear man or the things he fears, but instead, fear the Lord God. If you don’t have fear for God, you don’t respect Him. And if you don’t respect Him, you can easily fall into sin. Because it’s the Fear of the Lord that will help us overcome our worldly fears. Which makes me believe this is what sustained the Apostles and early believers during persecution

Think of Others

We never know what someone may be dealing with. Traumatic issues can occur in numerous way and may appear as family issues, breakups, the loss of a child, medical issues, loneliness or mental anguish. I know as a Christian, we are to encourage, build each other up, but, one scripture which really stands out to me, reads;

Just like the woman, I want to have that same kind of love that she demonstrated for Christ, with my brothers, sisters and yes, even my enemies.

God Bless you all…

The Answer is in the Witnesses

Recently I came across scriptures in the Bible I didn’t fully understand regarding the Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit.

But as I continued my study, I decided to pray asking God for help, to lead me to the Truth. Wasn’t to terribly long when I came across the scriptures about the three Witnesses.

I have 7 Bibles, but, I also use Biblehub which allows me to view other translations. However, my favorite is the New King James Bible. And it’s while reading it that I came across this scripture. I was already familiar with it, but, I hadn’t realized the complete significance of it. The Scriptures read;

This is He who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is Truth. For there are three that bear witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood; and these agree as one.

1 John 5:6-8

Did you catch it?

The key lies in the phrase, “For there are three that bear Witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Spirit; and these three are one.

What’s interesting many of the Bible translations have completely taken the Scripture 1 John 5:7 completely out. However, I was able to confirm it in the KJV, the NKJB and the online Lexicon.

The Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit

The Spirit of Truth
John 14:16 – And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

John 15:26 – But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

John 16:13 – However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

  • He’s the Spirit of Truth who is a helper (or a comforter, or Advocate depending on your translation)
  • Jesus prays to the Father and He will give you another Helper
  • Will be with you forever
  • World doesn’t see Him or know Him
  • For He dwells with you and will be in you
  • Jesus says to His disciples I will not leave you Orphans I will come to you
  • He testifies to Jesus
  • He will glorify Jesus, he will take of what is Jesus and declare it to you
  • Doesn’t speak on His own authority only what He hears
  • Will guide you into all Truth

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Romans 8:9 – You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in You. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, He does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your Spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

John 12:49 – I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it. And I know that His command leads to Eternal Life. So I speak exactly what My Father has told Me to say.

With the scriptures it becomes evident that the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ. Now let’s see how Jesus explained the Holy Spirit( or Spirit of God, Set Apart Spirit).

John 14:25 – These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

  • The Only Scripture Jesus mentions the Holy Spirit (Set-Apart Spirit or Sacred)
  • Father sends automatically, Jesus doesn’t pray for Him to be sent
  • He teaches all things
  • Reminds of what Jesus said to them

Apostle Paul Points to Consider:

Romans 8:12 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the Sons of God.

1 Corinthians 6:11 – And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:19 – Or do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God and you are not your own?

1 Corinthians 3:16 – Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 2:10-13 – But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So, too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God.

John 6:45 – It is written in the Prophets: And they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.

From everything spoken of by the Apostle Paul in these scriptures, it seems the Spirit, the Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit are the same. And when you compare the Holy Spirit to the Spirit of Truth there clearly are differences. However, Jesus does tell us;

We know we receive the Holy Spirit as a guarantee, when we believe in Jesus, but, what if we only receive the Spirit of Christ when we truly begin to follow Him. Because Jesus clearly distinguished the two Spirits from one another and the Apostle Paul stated if we don’t have the Spirit of Christ, we don’t belong to Him. Plus, I remember Jesus stating;

Plus, we’re told in, Luke 1:35 that the Holy Spirit will come up on you, and the Power of the Most High will over shadow you; for that reason the Holy Child will be called the Son of God.

The Gift of a Songbird

During my walk the other morning, I heard the voice of a songbird somewhere in the midst of the bare trees hovering above me. I began to notice how every branch was a part of something bigger than itself—the trunk. The branches reminded me a lot of blood vessels. Blood vessels are channels that transport blood from the center of the body, i.e. the heart, just as tree branches are channels that transport nutrients from the center of the tree—the trunk. God’s people are like His blood vessels, we transport the Word throughout the body of Christ.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about purpose, specifically my purpose. I’ve been able to boil it all down to one thing, one very simple yet beautiful thing. I am God’s vessel. How empowering it is to come to this realization.

The wonderful thing about your divine purpose is it’s simplicity. Your purpose isn’t to gain likes, followers, views, nor approval. It’s my belief, your purpose isn’t even to increase the body of Christ. Being able to contribute to the growing number of believers is a good thing, but it’s not your purpose. Though your divine assignment could very well be tied to apologetics, your purpose is to simply transport the Word, ultimately bringing glory to God.

Tree branches serve a purpose to transport nutrients from the trunk to the leaves and canopy of tree. But there’s another side to this coin. The branches not only serve the outer parts of the tree; they also serve the center of the tree as well. How do they do that? As the outer parts of the tree encounter wind, it’s swaying strengthens the core of the tree, it’s trunk.

Likewise, not only do blood vessels transport blood from the heart; they make what’s known as a “loop” and transport it back to the heart. We as believers have a purpose to transport the Word outwardly which then brings glory back to God. To bring glory to our Creator is the objective of our divine purpose.

It’s the order of nature to bring glory to God— sunsets, mountaintops, stars, rainbows, and rain itself all pay homage to a Creator. Music, mathematics, the concept of morality all point to a Creator and glorify His name.

Removing the Wrinkles

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV

I heard someone share a dream yesterday and in the dream, they saw a dryer being turned to the last 20 minute cycle and turned on. As most of you probably know, the last 20 minute cycle is the one you use to get the dryer heated up in order to remove the wrinkles from your clothes so they will be ready for use. I immediately thought of the above scripture when I heard the dream and the person sharing it also referenced the scripture from the book of Ephesians.

Lately, it seems like almost everyone I know is having some type of major health crisis or someone in their family is or they are dealing with relationship problems, etc. Last week, my mother had a stroke and I have been back and forth to the hospital everyday. Thankfully, she is showing some progress and will be moved to a skilled nursing facility to try to help her get more of her mobility back.

All Languages Will Serve Him

Throughout the internet there are many who believe that we must believe in the Hebrew/Aramaic name of Jesus to be saved. I know for awhile I had the same issue due to one particular scripture. But after doing more studying I have discovered two which really stand out. One, by the Prophet Daniel, which reads;

This scripture in Daniel speaks of the Lord Jesus, but, notice what is said; every nation and language should serve him. Which implies regardless of the language we speak, the name of the Lord Jesus is going to be different in each language. Hence, the reason for the transliteration of His name in Greek, Syriac, Aramaic and other languages. But to confirm this information is biblical, I found another scripture, which reads;

This is when the tongues of fire descended on the Apostles during the Feast of Pentecost after the crucifixion of Christ Jesus. Again, notice the phrase; each one heard them speaking his own language. And who can forget the story of The Tower of Babel when the Lord came down to see what the inhabitants of the earth was up to? The Lord confused the language of the earth and scattered them abroad. The scripture reads;

This reinforces my belief that regardless of the language we speak, if I call on Him in my native language, repent of my sins, follow Him, believe in the One who sent Him and in His name, I am Redeemed. However, there is a catch. When we follow Him, we do it from a Biblical perspective and not man’s. Meaning, we seek Him through the scriptures, pray, meditate on His word, worship Him, seek His will and do the work He gives us. If we attend Church it’s important to be weary of false teachings because, unfortunately, in today’s society many pastors, ministers, preachers, evangelist and priest have succumb to the worldly ideologies.

Time with God

God will meet with you today. Right where you are and exactly when you need Him.

He has the answers you need.

The peace you crave.

The direction you’ve been longing for.

Just like manna awaiting the Israelites in the desert every morning, God has something for you each day.

Slow down. Listen.

He may offer you something new to draw you closer into His presence – you’ll need more of Him to move forward, more of Him to understand.

A new song for your heart to sing.

A new artistic composition to create.

A new word to ponder and study.

A new and exciting challenge.

God has more for you in a single moment than the world can offer you in years.

When you turn away from the world and all its flashy, noisy distractions and you offer the sacrifice of your time to the Lord, He will bless you for it.

Jesus Wept

One of the most amazing works of the Lord Jesus, in the New Testament besides the crucifixion, is when He raised Lazarus from the dead. Can you imagine the shock and awe the people felt when this miracle was performed? I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I would have reacted, but, it’s definitely a testament to who the Lord Jesus truly was.

What’s really interesting about this narrative is how Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus letting Him know that Lazarus was sick. But instead of Jesus leaving immediately to heal Lazarus He waited an additional two days before leaving for Judea. But His disciples raised objection due to His recent controversy with the Jews and the the near stoning issue. Regardless, Jesus told them;

Of course the disciples didn’t realize Jesus was actually telling them Lazarus had died, they thought Lazarus was actually sleeping. Jesus told them directly, “Lazarus is dead.” After Jesus arrived at Martha’s and Mary’s, he was greeted by Martha. Basically, she expressed to Christ that if He had been there her brother wouldn’t had died, but, she knew whatever Jesus ask of God, God would grant it. Jesus told her, Your brother will rise again but Martha thought Jesus was referring to the resurrection so Jesus continues to tell Martha;

Mary answered, Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God, who is to come into the world. After speaking with Jesus Mary then went and told Mary The Teacher has come and is calling for you. Mary rose quickly and headed to Jesus. Those who were there to offer their support assumed she was going to the tomb of Lazarus so they followed. When Jesus saw Mary weeping along with the Jews who followed her, He groaned in the Spirit and was troubled. He asked where they had laid Lazarus and, Jesus swept.

Jesus was groaning in Himself when He arrived at the tomb and He asked for the stone to be removed. Martha, said to the Lord, by this time there is a stench since he’s be dead for 4 days. But Jesus says to Martha, did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the Glory of God? Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And He continues telling the Father that He spoke this because of those standing there so they would believe that the Father sent Him.

Once Jesus said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! Lazarus who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and His face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.

While this is definitely one of my favorites next to the crucifixion, it completely verified who Jesus was when He walked among the Jewish people and what He will do when He comes back.

A Better Way

There are many in our world who struggle with the after effects of trauma. Unfortunately, trauma appears in many forms and often stems from issues beyond our control. It can occur when one is exposed to domestic violence, physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, loss of a loved one, assault, rape, murder, natural disasters or any traumatic event. While many will seek professional assistance to cope with one’s feelings, emotions and fears, it can literally take years to recover. One of the reasons is because the wound must be constantly dissected, which means, you will constantly relive the experience along with the emotions and fears. This is to allow the therapist to examine and analyze every detail.

Which also begs the question, why do so many Christians and non-believers put their trust in a licensed therapist who has difficulty coping with their own life issues? Because statics show many therapist seek their own professional licensed therapist. This is reminiscent of the blind leading the blind, because this person doesn’t love you, doesn’t truly care about you, isn’t really concerned with your mental state or your eternal destination. These are professionals who offer a service and charge a fee for it, so in essence, you’re paying a complete stranger to talk to you, to give you advice and if the money runs out, well, they can no longer see you. Still believe they truly care about you? I’m not here to play games, but, to encourage you so you know there is a better way. Stop putting your belief in man and turn to the one who can actually save you.

Since this is true, who can help me, who can take this pain away?

The answer is simple, the Lord Christ Jesus, the Son of God, the Christ, the Messiah, can take away your trauma, your hurt, your pain, your anger, your resentment and bitterness. But it all starts with God.

  • You see, God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son (Christ Jesus), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
  • God did this so the world would be saved through Jesus (John 3:17).
  • But you must believe the Lord Jesus came down from Heaven(John 6:38).
  • Came in the flesh (1 John 4:2).
  • Born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23).
  • Lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:21,22).
  • Preached the need to repent and believe in the good news (Mark 1:15).
  • And to do the will of His Father (John 6:40).
  • Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name (John 20:30,31).
  • Then suffered and died on the cross for our sins (Isaiah 53:6) (1 Corinthians 15:3).
  • His body was buried, placed in a tomb (Matthew 27:57-60).
  • And He was raised from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3,4).
  • He ascended back to heaven after 40 days seen by many of His disciples (Acts 1:3).
  • The Bible tells us, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • We’re also told; For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Believing in the Lord Jesus is simple, but you must humbly pray to Him, letting Him see you have a broken heart, and tell Him you realize you’re a sinner and your ashamed of all your sins. At this point it’s good to list them all out, every lie you can think of, every act of theft, every act of lusting, every act of having sex without being married, every act of adultery, every act of idolatry (putting other things before God like working or money), partying, drinking till you were drunk, taking drugs, every ugly cuss work or nasty talk and anything else that is considered sin. Then let Him know you want Him to be your Lord and Savior and it’s at this time you can say you’re a Christian, a believer in the Lord Jesus.

When we believe these things spoken about Jesus in the Bible and repent of our sins, we pass from death to life. Get a Bible, begin reading starting in the New Testament. Once you finish it, read it again, and again until you understand the message. Some really good Bibles for a New Christian is the Amplified Study Bible, the New International Version, the New King James Bible. It’s extremely important to read the Bible before stepping foot in a Church so you can discern false teachings from Truth. But it’s our Faith in the Lord Jesus that keeps us walking by the Spirit(Galatians 5:16) and keeps us from sinning (2 Corinthians 5:7).

He’ll start His work in you and as you read the Bible you’ll be washed by water so you can become part of the Church presented without stain, wrinkle or any blemish, but holy and blameless (Ephesians 5:25-27). It’s also important to note, pray to Him daily, tell Him of your worries, fears and what happened to you. Although He knows, it’s a good way to help build the relationship.

If you’re looking for a better way, if you TRULY want peace it can ONLY be found in the Lord Christ Jesus (John 14:27)!
