I was blown away by this when I saw it and encourage all Christian to watch. I was in tears as I listened because I could feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Nico is a worship leader at a Christian Church in Thessalonica Greece. And in 2022 he was given a powerful dream where He saw the Son of God, Jesus Christ, along with the Archangel that is over all the Armies in Heaven. The Archangel raised His head and begin to sing along with other Angels and sounds begin to join in. This song has such a serious anointing on it! You can watch the video and see how demons begin to manifest in those who are listening to it. Nico’s is singing it in the original tongue but I also have it in English and will share it on to my music section. This is what WORSHIP music really sounds like! Praise the Almighty God!

Because everyone born of God over ones the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our Faith.
Iran Attacks Israel News
Breaking news that will affect every Christian is the attack on Israel by Iran today. Which means Christians will go through tough days ahead if this attack continues and turns into a full pledge war. If it does escalate chances are many countries will be involved. As Christians we must ensure we are adhering to the Lord Jesus Christ teachings during these Biblical times. This means we pray for Israel, but, we also pray for all of God’s people in the Middle East.
We must pray and ask God for His protection over His people, His remnant, His Church and His Chosen Ones. This includes all who believe and follow Yeshua the Messiah/Jesus the Christ regardless of their nationality or the country they reside in. Yes, we pray and ask God to bless Israel, but, we must also remember to stay in alignment with the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Especially those teachings where the Lord spoke of persecution and our enemies. The Scriptures read;
Matthew 5:43,45 – You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be Sons of your Father in Heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Christians tend to forget, that yes while we love Israel, we must be very careful how we approach this subject. Scripture teaches;
1 Peter 3:9 – Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Pray for All people to REPENT and turn their hearts to the Son of God, Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah), who was sacrificed for our sins and reconciled us to God through His blood. I’m also reminded of the scripture which reads;
Matthew 15:18,20 – But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander. These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.
This is why all Christians must be very careful what they say and how they say it. While we love Israel and pray for the Jewish people, we’re called to LOVE all God’s People.
May God’s Grace bless you daily,
bring you closer to the Lord Jesus Christ
and Sanctify you in God’s Truth!
Blessed are the Meek
Sometimes I really like to focus on the beatitudes because I enjoy reading what the scriptures tell me about those who believe in Christ and in God will end up. For instance, when I spoke of those who are poor in Spirit, the Scriptures state that theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Which for me means their home is the Kingdom of Heaven. Knowing this brings me to the next beatitude which reads;
Blessed are the meek, for
they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5
How is this important to Christians, the Church or Religion?
As part of the Church it’s important for Christians to evaluate where they stand. One of the ways I can do this is by using the Beatitudes as a type of measurement tool. But to fully understand this scripture better lets take a look at other words that could easily replace the word Meek. A few of these are, timid, shy, reserved, bashful, introverted, quite, modest, humble, obedient, peaceful, gentle, kind, softhearted, merciful, forgiving, patient, gracious, pleasant, lowly, mild, easygoing and warmhearted.
But what is the actual meaning?
The word meek is defined as someone who is patient and mild; not inclined to anger or resentment according to the American Collins Online Encyclopedia. And when you read this same scripture from the Amplified Bible, it reads;
Blessed[inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle[the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled] for they will inherit the earth.
This particular scripture really makes me think about the Lord Jesus’s character and how it could easily be a reflection of Him and those who follow Him. So I could easily see the word gentle replaced with humble, obedient, peaceful, merciful and forgiving or even lowly. But notice what else this scriptures states, they will inherit the earth.
Can you imagine, living on earth at a time where there is no war, no disease, no hate, no famines, but, GOD’S TRUTH, LOVE, RESPECT and our KING!
May God’s Grace bless you daily,
bring you closer to the Lord Jesus Christ
and Sanctify you in God’s Truth!
An Attack is Coming
Early this morning while studying scripture I was given a message. The Scriptures tell us that the Spirit of Truth will lead us to all Truth and tells us of things to come. He doesn’t speak on His own but only the words He hears. After writing down the message, this is what I heard.
God is angry for breaking His laws and He is bringing death and persecution to the Church. Attacks are coming soon. People question God, deny Jesus Christ and listen to man. And God hates sin. False prophets are leading Jesus’s people astray.
From what I was told, people are not living as they should and evidently this includes God’s Church. While this seems a very grim message, we do have HOPE in the Lord Jesus Christ. And this is the rest of the message;
For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
God loved His creation so much that He sent His ONLY Son into the world to save the World through Him. So God’s Son, Jesus the Christ, was sent in the flesh, was born of a virgin and when He became of age He began His ministry and preached the Word of God stating, Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
Ultimately, the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried in a tomb, raised on the third day and appeared to His 12 Apostles. The Scriptures read;
And He told them, “This is what is written:
The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead
on the third day, and in His name repentance
and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to
all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. You are
witnesses of these things.
Luke 24:46
The Scriptures tell us that Jesus, the Christ, bore our sins in His body. Though He was completely without sin the only way we could be reconciled to God was through His sacrifice. It’s His blood that was shed for the Covenant which was poured out for the forgiveness of sin, the scripture reads;
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 26:26,28
But while many do not believe this the Old Testament actually backups everything that Christ endured. The Prophet Isaiah spoke of this very prophecy when He stated;
Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away, and who can recount His descendants? For He was cut off from the land of the living; He was stricken for the transgression of My people. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush Him and to cause Him to suffer; and when His soul is made a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. After the anguish of His soul, He will see the light of life and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He has poured out His life unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors. Yet He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:4-12
This is why we have hope! Since Jesus was raised up those who believe in Him and follow Him, they will be raised also. Our great Hope and this is what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you and me!
God Gives Eternal Life
When I was younger I would attend Church on a regular basis. It was one of those small country Churches where many of the surrounding rural people attended. So, as I continue my journey through the Scriptures, some of the things which I’ve read in the Bible has really opened my eyes. I’ve read through the New Testament several times and when I finish, I start again. The reason I do this is because as we grow in Christ we will continue to uncover more and more. Like the scriptures which refers to the Testimony of God, it reads;
Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony
within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him
out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the
testimony that God has given about His Son. And this is
the Testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life
is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever
does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:10-12
As a Christian, I want to ensure this Scripture is seared into my mind. Because when difficult times come, the Holy Spirit will remind me of who I “truly” belong to.
God Bless Each of You!
The Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit
As I journey through the scriptures I came across something I was a bit surprised at and to fully understand the significance will require writing of scripture for clarification. What I’m referring to and researching is the difference between the Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit (known also as the Set-Apart Spirit, Spirit of God or Spirit). What I’ve come to realize is, the Holy Spirit is different from what Jesus describes as the Spirit of Truth. But to back everything I’m saying, I’ll refer to the scriptures.
The Spirit of Truth
John 14:16 – And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 15:26 – But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
John 16:13 – However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
Points to Consider:
- He’s the Spirit of Truth who is a helper (or a comforter, or Advocate depending on your translation)
- Jesus prays to the Father and He will give you another Helper
- Will be with you forever
- World doesn’t see Him or know Him
- For He dwells with you and will be in you
- Jesus says to His disciples I will not leave you Orphans I will come to you
- He testifies to Jesus
- He will glorify Jesus, he will take of what is Jesus and declare it to you
- Doesn’t speak on His own authority only what He hears
- Will guide you into all Truth
Some additional scriptures to help us understand who the Spirit of Truth is;
John 14:6 – Jesus answered, I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Romans 8:9 – You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in You. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, He does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your Spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.
John 12:49 – I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it. And I know that His command leads to Eternal Life. So I speak exactly what My Father has told Me to say.
With the scriptures it becomes evident that the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ. Now let’s see how Jesus explained the Holy Spirit( or Spirit of God, Set Apart Spirit).
The Holy Spirit
John 14:25 – These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Points to Consider:
- The Only Scripture Jesus mentions the Holy Spirit (Set-Apart Spirit or Sacred)
- Father sends automatically, Jesus doesn’t pray for Him to be sent
- He teaches all things
- Reminds of what Jesus said to them
Apostle Paul Points to Consider:
Romans 8:12 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the Sons of God.
1 Corinthians 6:11 – And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:19 – Or do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 3:16 – Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 2:10-13 – But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So, too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God.
John 6:45 – It is written in the Prophets: And they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.
From everything spoken of by the Apostle Paul in these scriptures, it seems the Spirit, the Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit are the same. And when you compare the Holy Spirit to the Spirit of Truth there clearly are differences. However, Jesus does tell us;
Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
We know we receive the Holy Spirit as a guarantee, when we believe in Jesus, but, what if we only receive the Spirit of Christ when we truly begin to follow Him. Because Jesus clearly distinguished the two Spirits from one another and the Apostle Paul stated if we don’t have the Spirit of Christ, we don’t belong to Him. Plus, I remember Jesus stating;
Matthew 10:37,38 – Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
Christ clearly felt the need to distinguish between the two, so shouldn’t we?
Plus, we’re told in, Luke 1:35 that the Holy Spirit will come up on you, and the Power of the Most High will over shadow you; for that reason the Holy Child will be called the Son of God.
And could the Spirit of Truth (the Spirit of Christ) be what He was referring to in Matthew 10:37,38?
I guess I have more questions while trying to understand this. Because it appears the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Any thoughts, please let me know, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Going Against the Grain
Everything transpiring throughout America’s culture with our children is absolutely disgraceful. Those who follow Jesus Christ know it’s part of Satan’s schemes to undermine God’s Ways. As parents we also bare a responsibility. The Scripture I’m referring to reads;
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
The scriptures clearly indicate we play a large part in our children’s future. Which means parents also must take some of the blame. But as a Christian I know this world’s false teachings and ideologies go completely against the Word of God.
But, please remember, we’re not called to judge those who follow this world’s false teaching, instead, we are called to speak God’s Truth through love in a gracious, respectful, peaceful manner. Then, the decision each individual makes is entirely up to them. Unfortunately, these false teaching are everywhere, schools, churches, hospitals, clinics, government offices, colleges, and the work environment. The scriptures read;
1 Timothy 4:1,2 – Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.
2 Timothy 4:3,4 – For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
And remember, it’s not only the transgender ideology or the LGBQT community that are in error, but, ALL worldly temptations. If your a Christian and fall within one of these categories, please, REPENT! The reason being is because the scriptures read;
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute
becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will
become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord becomes
one spirit with him. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin
a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral
person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that
your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you
have from God? You are not your own, for you were
bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:16-20
Naked and Bare
Recently it seems, many people are starting to take notice to what is really happening within the United States. Unfortunately, there are also those who are simply so focused on the fleshly desires and worldly lifestyle that their judgment has become seared. But, there’s no denying there is constant violence and corruption we see taking place not only in the United States but throughout the world.
But just as in Sodom and Gomorrah, or, the Days of Noah judgment is coming. Because this world is full of corruption, violence, haters, murderers, liars, thieves, and the sexually immoral who are proud of their wicked ways. These are those who continue to deny the Lord Jesus as God’s Son, and refuse to repent of their sins. This is why I believe it’s imperative for a Christian, those who are of God’s Church, to know where you stand. Each of us need to ensure we’re living a lifestyle that is biblical, moral and following the teachings of the Lord Jesus along with His Apostles. Because each of us will be held accountable, in fact, the scripture reads;
And there is no creature hidden from His
sight, but all are naked and laid bare before
the eyes of Him with whom is our account.
Hebrews 4:13
After reading this scripture, if you were laid naked and bare before God right now, what do you think He would find? Unforgiveness, hate, following the ways of the world, or, following Christ?
Hearts Far From Me
This people draw near to me with their
mouth, and respect Me with their lips,
but their heart is far from Me.
Matthew 14:8
Everything transpiring in our world today proves the accuracy of the Scriptures, because, they speak of the breakdown within society. Even Christians seem to be following the ways of this world instead of the way of God. Many Christians may go to church, say the right words, do the right things when others are looking, but, when they’re alone do their hearts truly reflect drawing near to Him? These are these things each of us need to reflect on because God wants us to draw near to Him. Ask Him to evaluate your heart so you can grow in Him, praise and worship Him the way He deserves to be worshipped. Remember, the Pharisees and Sadducees had this same issue, they said the right things and appeared to do the right things when others were looking, but, behind close doors their hearts were far from God.
My Prayer
Lord, My God, I pray for a heart that is tender, merciful, compassionate and loving for my fellow man. Lord please evaluate my heart and if there is anything displeasing found let me know so I can repent of it and replace it with actions that are righteous in Your sight. I pray to help keep my thoughts pure, focused on You so I can meditate and reflect on Your Ways instead of the ways of this world. Keep my tongue cleansed from this worldly flesh so I can offer words of encouragement that bring comfort and healing. Teach me Your Ways, Lord, and keep fleshly desires and temptations far from me. Thank you for Your Grace through faith in Christ, the Lord Jesus, who gave His life for the world. All these things I pray, in Christ Jesus name, Amen!
All Languages Will Serve Him
Throughout the internet there are many who believe that we must believe in the Hebrew/Aramaic name of Jesus to be saved. I know for awhile I had the same issue due to one particular scripture. But after doing more studying I have discovered two which really stand out. One, by the Prophet Daniel, which reads;
And He was given dominion, glory, and Kingship, that the people of every nation
and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will
not pass away, and His Kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
Daniel 7:14
This scripture in Daniel speaks of the Lord Jesus, but, notice what is said; every nation and language should serve him. Which implies regardless of the language we speak, the name of the Lord Jesus is going to be different in each language. Hence, the reason for the transliteration of His name in Greek, Syriac, Aramaic and other languages. But to confirm this information is biblical, I found another scripture, which reads;
Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation
under heaven. And when this sound rang out, a crowd came together in
bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking his own language.
Acts 2:5,6
This is when the tongues of fire descended on the Apostles during the Feast of Pentecost after the crucifixion of Christ Jesus. Again, notice the phrase; each one heard them speaking his own language. And who can forget the story of The Tower of Babel when the Lord came down to see what the inhabitants of the earth was up to? The Lord confused the language of the earth and scattered them abroad. The scripture reads;
That is why it is called Babel, for there the LORD confused the
language of the whole world, and from that place the LORD
scattered them over the face of all the earth.
Genesis 11:9
This reinforces my belief that regardless of the language we speak, if I call on Him in my native language, repent of my sins, follow Him, believe in the One who sent Him and in His name, I am Redeemed. However, there is a catch. When we follow Him, we do it from a Biblical perspective and not man’s. Meaning, we seek Him through the scriptures, pray, meditate on His word, worship Him, seek His will and do the work He gives us. If we attend Church it’s important to be weary of false teachings because, unfortunately, in today’s society many pastors, ministers, preachers, evangelist and priest have succumb to the worldly ideologies.
Division in the Church
The United States today is divided in almost every way possible. We’re divided over religion, ideologies, politics, science and the whole border issue. I’ve found that even Christians are divided by denominations, doctrines, and the scriptures themselves. But the Bible teaches all believers in the Lord Jesus should be of like mind, they read;
1 Peter 3:8,9 – Finally, all of you, be like-minded and sympathetic, love as brothers, be tenderhearted and humble.
1 Corinthians 1:10 – I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction.
Romans 15:5,6 – Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one another in Christ Jesus, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 133:1 – Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
From the scriptures it’s pretty clear, Christ taught His Apostles to be of one mind. Maybe the reason we’re so divided today is because many lack true love for one another within the faith. And if there’s a lack of love for one another, how can we claim to love Jesus when we’re not following His example. Because if we truly love the Lord Jesus the way the Apostles loved Him and one another, there wouldn’t be any division among us today.
Don’t be deceived because a lack of love tends to lead to protests, riots, or convoys that have and are popping up all around our country. Since these protest have nothing to do with following the Lord Jesus and deal with worldly desires, they go completely against what Jesus taught. As Christians, we are called to be a peaceful, loving people regardless of what comes our way. We do not repay evil for evil, instead, we love even our enemies just as Christ loved those who persecuted Him. Confrontation is not part of the Christian faith, as believers we’re called to love, forgive, and treat others the way we want to be treated. But remember the words the Lord Jesus spoke about division, which states;
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every Kingdom divided against itself
will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
Matthew 12:25
Now more than ever God is calling His people to walk in The Way of Righteousness, to turn from fleshly desires and turn back to Him. To come out of this world, repent of your sins, follow the Lord Jesus, worship God and live a life consistent with the sacrifice He made. Instead of listening to the world, be still and listen to God!
The Falling Away Has Begun
Unfortunately, our society today is eager to embrace anything that is the exact opposite of God. Sports sponsors have paid millions to sports personalities to keep the name JESUS off of their hats or clothing. While other ideologies are nothing more but worldly fruit of those who are merely interested in living a life that glorifies themselves instead of God. So it’s not surprising to me that for the past couple of months I’ve noticed how more and more Churches are literally falling away from God’s Truth.
But what exactly does, “a falling away” mean?
According to the Strong’s Concordance the Greek transliteration is Apostasia. Which means to leave, departure, or literally, a leaving from a previous standing. If you scroll down to the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance it states, defection from the truth, falling away, forsake.
The defection from the truth seems to be what is happening all around the world, because, the latest to embrace these worldly ideologies is Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church who is embracing a same sex blessings policy. This literally means Pope Francis is advocating for the LGBQT ideology and means he has completely gone against God’s Word. While the bible is very clear, all have sinned, and we are called to help non-believers, it also teaches GOD’S CHURCH is to turn away from worldly perversions. If same sex blessings are given, then the Catholic Church is promoting sexual immorality, fornication, and worldly love which goes against the scripture which states;
Do you not know that you yourselves are
God’s Temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells
in you? If anyone destroys God’s Temple,
God will destroy him; for God’s Temple is
holy, and you are that Temple.
1 Corinthians 3:16,17
As a Christian I’m called to present God’s Truth in a loving manner without condemning, without judging or without criticizing. Just present the facts of God’s Truth and then it’s up to each person to decide.
However, the Bible gives a pretty good explanation and defines what’s behind this movement, and basically, why it’s being pushed. The scripture reads;
1 Timothy 4:1,2 – Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.
2 Timothy 4:3,4 – For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
Acts 20:28,30 – Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the Church of God, which He purchased with the blood of His own Son. I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them.
Matthew 24:9,11 – Then they will deliver you up to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My Name. At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another, and many false prophets will rise and mislead many.
From these scriptures alone, the falling away is caused by;
Deceiving Spirits and Teachings of Demons
False Teachers
Human Desires
Persecution
For additional understanding, the Book of Jude provides even more information and provides more insight as to “why” these people are rejecting Jesus Christ and living worldly. The scriptures read;
Jude 1:4 – For certain men had crept in among you unnoticed-ungodly ones who were designated long ago for condemnation. They turn the Grace of our God into a license for immorality, and they deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:8 – Yet in the same way these dreamers defile their bodies, reject authority, and slander glorious beings.
Jude 1:10 – These men, however, slander what they do not understand, and like irrational animals, they will be destroyed by the things they do instinctively.
Jude 1:16,19 – These men are discontented grumblers, following after their own lusts; their mouths spew arrogance; they flatter others for their own advantage. But you, beloved, remember what was foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ when they said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow after their own ungodly desires.” These are the ones who cause divisions, who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit.
Beloved, God’s Word has provided the TRUTH, but, it’s up to each of us to choose our path, worldly ideologies and false teachings or the ways of God.
3 Things God Cannot Do
For the past month I’ve been purchasing an assortment of Gospel Tracts and one of them that really caught my attention was one entitled, 3 Things God Cannot Do. My first thought when I saw it was, God can do anything. But curiosity got the better of me so I opened it up and began to read. The tract starts off by asking, are there really 3 things that God cannot do? Can’t God do everthing? Let’s take a look at God’s own Word to see what He Himself tells us.
1.God Cannot Lie
As one who follows God, believes in Him and His Word, I’m in
absolute agreement with this statement. Because according to
scripture, Titus 1:2 reads; In the hope of eternal life, which
God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
2.God Cannot Change
This is probably an obvious truth because His Word tells
us in Malachi 3:6, “For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
From these two characteristics of God it becomes very clear that I’m in total agreement with this gospel tract. Because I know from reading the Bible that God cannot lie and He does not change. In Numbers 23:19 God says; “God is not a man, that He would lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? The word repent means to change your mind. So God is telling us, He does NOT change! But then, I came to the last thing God cannot do and it is;
3.God Cannot Allow Sinners into Heaven
Some may disagree with this one using the argument that God is love and a loving God would not turn anyone away from Heaven. But do you know how we know this is absolutely true? Because God Himself tells us, and God cannot lie and God does not change. So, if God said it, it is true and it’s true for all time. Plus, we know the scripture is reliable because we’re told in Psalms 119:89; Your Word, O LORD, is everlasting; it is firmly fixed in the heavens. And in 2 Timothy 3:16 we’re told; All scripture is God-breathed and is used for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
Since we now know God cannot allow sinners into heaven, this is bad news for us. Because we’re told, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). While this may be a difficult truth for people to accept about oneself, it does confirm we’re all sinners. In 1 John 1:8 we’re told; If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Knowing we’re sinners and God cannot allow sinners into heaven, what can we do? God provided a way.
Because God loves us so much He made a way where sinners could be cleansed and made righteous and could experience a relationship with Him. It is through His only Son, Jesus Christ. John 3:16 reads;
For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have eternal life.
It is through His Son that we can experience eternal life, it is the only way. Jesus says in John 14:6; I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Yes, Jesus didn’t say there are many ways to God, He says, there is only 1 way to God, through Him.
Why is Jesus the only way?
Because Jesus Himself paid for our sins. He was the sacrificial lamb who paid the penalty of death on the cross for each of us. And since He died for each of us, He alone is the ONLY WAY to God. Again we know this is true because, God cannot lie and He doe not change. Isaiah 53:5,6 reads;
But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was
upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
We all like sheep have gone astray, each
one has turned to his own way; and the
LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity
of us all.
This means to obtain salvation we must believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and we must also believe on His Name. We’re told in Acts 4:12, Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other Name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
But how is Jesus Christ the Son of God?
We’re told in John 1:1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. One of the names Jesus was often called was, the Word of God. So from this scripture we understand Jesus pre-existed in Heaven with the Father as the Word of God. Then we’re also told a little further down in John 1:14; And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus pre-existed with the Father in heaven then became flesh, born of a virgin, preached the Good News of the Kingdom, was sacrificed on the cross for our sins, died, then rose on the third day. This is why Jesus is the ONLY WAY to the FATHER!
So how can we obtain eternal life?
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). God made salvation simple. Remember, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This makes each of us a sinner so how do we obtain salvation?
Believe in Jesus, on His name and in the One who sent Him
Believe He is the Son of God who was sacrificed on the Cross
Repent and confess our sins
Romans 10:9 reads; That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. John 5:24 reads; Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. And 1 John 1:8,9 tells us; If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you have repented and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, on His Name, on His crucifixion and His resurrection, and believe in the one who sent Him, then you may know you have eternal life.
Start reading the Bible, pray and ask God to strengthen you. The reason to read the Bible first before joining a Church is to ensure you can distinguish between the false prophets and teachers who twist the scriptures or put into place man made doctrines that do not align with God’s Church. God’s people are called to be in unity with one another, denominations divide them.
You will also need to be baptized, this can be done by a strong follower of Christ or with yourself in your bathtub, but, before attempting it, always pray to God asking what you should do. Because sometimes, Christ will baptize you Himself.
The Sinful Nature
As a Christian I believe it’s important to read and study the Bible daily. Because it’s here we learn God’s ways, the reason Jesus came in the flesh, who He is and the reason He died for us. It provides valuable insight into His crucifixion, His death, His resurrection and the reason we need to follow Him while living a Christian lifestyle.
But have you ever asked yourself, Is my lifestyle reflective of a Christian and what Jesus taught?
We’re told throughout scripture, those who follow Christ do not follow this world and it’s one of the recurring themes throughout the New Testament. Because those who follow Jesus will be hated since their thoughts, actions and deeds are not of the world, but, are inline with His. We’re told;
John 15:18 – If the world hates you, remember that it hated Me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.
1 John 2:15,16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
James 4:4 – You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
But what does a worldly lifestyle look like?
This morning as I continue my journey through the scriptures, I realized by replacing the word worldly with a more modern translation, sinful nature, the scriptures become easier to comprehend and understand. It also adds a modern feel and makes you question, if you’re really following the Christian lifestyle. The verses I’m referring to read;
Galatians 5:19,21 – When you follow the desires of your sinful youth, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Colossians 3:5,7 – So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.
Colossians 3:8,9 – But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
As one reads the scriptures, it’s extremely easy to comprehend exactly what Jesus was referring to. Because as followers of Christ we know we are to abstain from the sinful nature. Our thoughts are on the things of heaven and not the things of this earth.
So, if you find one or more character traits listed above, it may be time for a self-evaluation. Pray to God asking for His help with the issue and remember;
Those who belong to Christ Jesus
have crucified the flesh with its
passions and desires.
Galatians 5:24
