The one who believes in the Son has eternal life;
but the one who does not obey the Son will not
see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
John 3:36
As I read this scripture I’m perplexed by what I see transpiring in our world today. Because sin, or lawlessness, has completely taken over society, and, with it many professing Christians. Some have completely fallen away from the faith while others believe in Jesus, but, are simply to worldly to truly follow Him, or, somewhere along the way they get stuck in their walk. But Jesus taught the way to us, He gave us a path to follow even during difficult times. His teachings covers everything from anger, impurity, adultery, lust, divorce, judging others, turning the other cheek, love your enemies, fear, worry, fasting, laying up treasures in heaven, careless words, lying, false prophets, along with some of His parables and of course, love. And His Apostles expanded on His teachings so we could live a life that honors God and grow in the Faith. So knowing these things and focusing on the portion of the scripture which states; “the one who does not obey the Son will not see life,“ really gets my attention. Because I know we each have a choice to make, either one chooses to follow the Lord Jesus along with His teachings, or, one chooses the ways of this world and reaps the consequences. Knowing what lies ahead, please open your Bibles, read it daily and meditate on His Word, and let the Spirit guide you in all Truths.
My Prayer,
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your Gift of Grace through faith and for the Lord Jesus Christ, your Son. It’s with a heavy heart I pray today, because, we see many Christians falling away from the Faith and choosing to live a life that is worldly instead of Godly. Some, are stuck in their walk unsure how to continue moving forward due to false doctrines being implemented in their Churches are dealing with these worldly ideologies being forced upon them. So I pray to help Christians who are struggling, who are living worldly lives that’s not consistent with Jesus teachings so they can repent of their past deeds and truly devote themselves to the Lord. Help us stay strong, to fight the good fight, never compromising or giving in. All these things we pray, in Jesus name and through Him I pray, Amen.
Amen! Blessings!
