The LORD GOD יהוה YHVH of Israel is the Lord Jesus Christ

I was watching one of my favorite Pastors yesterday, or the day before, and He spoke about some Scriptures which really caught my attention and really made me stop and think. Because, many Jewish people believe in God but they don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, or in their tongue, Yeshua Mashiach.

But there is a way for Jewish people, whether they live in Israel, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey or any foreign country, to fully understand who the Lord Jesus Christ truly is. Christians and Jewish people are called to worship the one true God and it’s time we come together and understand who He truly is.

The Scriptures I’m referring to is found in Zechariah 12:1-9 and I will highlight what is significant.

1 – The burden of the Word of LORD (יהוה‎ or YHVH) against Israel. This says the LORD (יהוה‎ or YHVH), who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the Spirit of man within him:

2 – Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding people’s, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.

3 – And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

4 – In that day, says the LORD (יהוה‎ or YHVH), I will strike every horse with confusion, and it’s rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 – And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.’

6 – In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile…

7 – The LORD (יהוה‎ or YHVH) will save the tents of Judah first…

8 – In that day the LORD (יהוה‎ or YHVH) will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem…

9 – It shall be in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

From the beginning in Verse 1 Zechariah tells us exactly who is speaking, which in English is the LORD, GOD, and in Hebrew would be יהוה‎ or YHVH.

  • Verse 2 states, I will make Jerusalem a cup.
  • Verse 3 states, I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone.
  • Verse 4 states, In that day, says the LORD, I will strike and I will open My eyes on the house of Judah
  • Verse 5 states, the LORD, יהוה or YHVH of Hosts, their GOD
  • Verse 6 states, In that day I will make the governors.
  • Verse 7 states, the LORD, יהוה or YHVH will save the tents.
  • Verse 8 states, In that day the LORD, יהוה or YHVH will defend.
  • Verse 9 states, I will seek to destroy all the nations.

Do you see who is speaking?

The LORD, GOD, in English and יהוה or YHVH in the Hebrew language. But if that’s true how can a Jewish person explain what GOD, יהוה or YHVH says next?

And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of Grace and supplication; then they will look on ME whom they pierced.

If you’re Jewish you should ask yourself, when was God or יהוה‎ YHVH ever pierced?

And if you’re a non-believer you should ask yourself how could the Bible predict this long before it happened?

The GOD of the Old Testament, of the Torah is the same who came in the flesh, born of a virgin, taught the people to repent and turn away from their sins, to believe in the Son of God by FAITH, was sacrificed and became the atonement for sins and ushered in the New Covenant which was spoken of by Ezekiel and Jeremiah. Then the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua Mashiach, rose on the 3rd day.

I urge all Jewish people to read the scriptures for themselves. Jewish leaders just as Christian leaders will lead you astray, don’t put your trust in man but in the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua Mashiach. Notice what Zechariah says in 14:9, which states;

And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be – “The LORD is one, and His name one.

Don’t put your salvation in the hands of others, seek the Lord Jesus Christ or Yeshua Mashiach while He can still be found!

Hungering and Thirsting for Righteousness

When I look at our world today I see so much hate for all people and I begin to wonder as a believer in Christ Jesus why are Christians failing to follow what the Scriptures speak? Because, the Lord Jesus taught we are to love our enemy and we are called to pray for them when they persecute us. And it doesn’t matter if people are from Israel, Iran, China, Russia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia or any place in the Middle East, the Americas or the UK, and it doesn’t matter the color of a person’s skin. We are ALL CREATED in the image of God! Followers of Christ are taught to love their fellow man, to speak no evil against them and not to repay insult with insult. But what I’m seeing all around the world is the exact opposite of what the Lord Christ Jesus spoke of. People are choosing sides between Israel and Iran, calling each other names and speaking evil against one another.

This hurts me so much seeing what is happening within the Christian community. It’s as if Christians have lost their love for Christ. Because as the Lord Jesus said, if you love Me, keep My commandments. And instead of hungering and thirsting for righteousness as the Lord Jesus spoke of, I see many drawing lines and taking sides. Please remember, we’re not called to get caught up in the politics of man, we’re called to live Holy before our God, because He is Holy.

How can we combat this?

Simply by following the Lord’s teachings. Meditate on these scriptures below and think about your actions and whether or not they align with the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, they read;

For additional thought, read this scripture because for me, it really opened my eyes, it reads;

These Scriptures should scare ALL Christians, cause if we’re not adhering to the teachings Christ taught, what are we really doing?

Why We Pray For All People

The Lord Jesus Christ is doing wonderful things in this world and is a moving in the Muslim community. And the testimony below is one of a Muslim man of Iranian descent that had a powerful encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s also why it’s so important to Pray for all People to turn their hearts to the Lord Jesus whether they live in Iran, Israel, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Turkey, Russia are anywhere in the world. Even those who persecute us we’re called to pray for them. Christ told us to pray for our enemies and while this is maybe difficult for some, if you truly love the Lord Jesus you’ll follow His command.

It’s also why In 1 Peter 3:9 we’re told;

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you we’re called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Be Kind to All

If you read the Bible one of the first things you’ll notice in the New Testament is just how humble and compassionate the Lord Jesus was to the Israelites when He walked among them.

He walked throughout Israel healing, casting out demons, raising the dead and preaching the Good Message of the Kingdom, all while teaching God’s Chosen people the right way to live. He showered the people with mercy, forgiveness, compassion  and love.

He also taught we should be kind to all people, including, loving our enemies. For many Americans this is difficult, especially, with what’s happening within our Country today. But since I’m a follower of Christ I know I must have the same mindset. Because the Lord Jesus said;

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:44,45

For me, this Scripture says it all. So my prayer is that all Christians realize this message before it’s too late. Jesus left us a blueprint for living the right way through His teachings. But He also gives us the ability to make our own choice. To follow Him, or, follow the ways of this world.

Jesus Wept

One of the most amazing works of the Lord Jesus, in the New Testament besides the crucifixion, is when He raised Lazarus from the dead. Can you imagine the shock and awe the people felt when this miracle was performed? I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I would have reacted, but, it’s definitely a testament to who the Lord Jesus truly was.

What’s really interesting about this narrative is how Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus letting Him know that Lazarus was sick. But instead of Jesus leaving immediately to heal Lazarus He waited an additional two days before leaving for Judea. But His disciples raised objection due to His recent controversy with the Jews and the the near stoning issue. Regardless, Jesus told them;

Of course the disciples didn’t realize Jesus was actually telling them Lazarus had died, they thought Lazarus was actually sleeping. Jesus told them directly, “Lazarus is dead.” After Jesus arrived at Martha’s and Mary’s, he was greeted by Martha. Basically, she expressed to Christ that if He had been there her brother wouldn’t had died, but, she knew whatever Jesus ask of God, God would grant it. Jesus told her, Your brother will rise again but Martha thought Jesus was referring to the resurrection so Jesus continues to tell Martha;

Mary answered, Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God, who is to come into the world. After speaking with Jesus Mary then went and told Mary The Teacher has come and is calling for you. Mary rose quickly and headed to Jesus. Those who were there to offer their support assumed she was going to the tomb of Lazarus so they followed. When Jesus saw Mary weeping along with the Jews who followed her, He groaned in the Spirit and was troubled. He asked where they had laid Lazarus and, Jesus swept.

Jesus was groaning in Himself when He arrived at the tomb and He asked for the stone to be removed. Martha, said to the Lord, by this time there is a stench since he’s be dead for 4 days. But Jesus says to Martha, did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the Glory of God? Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And He continues telling the Father that He spoke this because of those standing there so they would believe that the Father sent Him.

Once Jesus said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! Lazarus who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and His face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.

While this is definitely one of my favorites next to the crucifixion, it completely verified who Jesus was when He walked among the Jewish people and what He will do when He comes back.

Date Palms Represent The Righteous

The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful];
They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable].
Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
[Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age;
They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment.] (Psalm 92:12-14 AMP)

The date palm trees of ancient Israel symbolize the righteous. They were medicine, food, pressed into date honey, fermented into wine, its branches used as roofs for shelters, ropes, brooms, woven mats and its trunk for construction timber. The palms grew in a hot climate, next to oasis, in deserts and in fertile areas. They provided shade. The date palms of Israel were famous…

Pure Glory

The Vineyard

As I journey through the scriptures, one of the parables which Jesus spoke while speaking to the Priests and Pharisees during His time in Jerusalem has really made an impression on me. It’s the story of a landowner who planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then the landowner leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.

What I found so interesting about this story is what comes next when Jesus said;

At the time of the grape harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the crop. But the farmers grabbed his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. So the landowner sent a larger group of his servants to collect for him, but the results were the same.

“Finally, the owner sent his son, thinking, ‘Surely they will respect my son.’

“But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another, ‘Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’ So they grabbed him, dragged him out of the vineyard, and murdered him.

“When the owner of the vineyard returns,” Jesus asked, “what do you think he will do to those farmers?”

The religious leaders replied, “He will put the wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to others who will give him his share of the crop after each harvest.”

Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures?

‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’

Why am I so intrigued by this parable?

I can easily see the story of Jesus wrapped up in this one parable. Because I associate the landowner with God, the land with Israel, the tenant farmers with the priests and pharisees, the landowner’s son as Jesus and the punishment the tenant farmers receive will be horrific because of their wicked treatment to God’s Son and God’s servants.

And when Jesus says the Kingdom of God will be taken away and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit, it reminds me of the reign of Christ Jesus when He sets His Kingdom in Jerusalem.

Hallelujah, Christ will reign in Jerusalem! The King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Scriptures takes from Matthew 21:33-43

Acts 4:10-12

Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead-by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which w must be saved.

Yeshua’s Love and the Twisting of Scripture

There are numerous scriptures that are being misinterpreted by the LGBTQ+ community, by liberals, by false prophets, by false evangelist churches, and false new age churches that just aren’t Biblical. One of them is that Jesus, Yeshua, is love. Well, that IS absolutely true, Jesus is love, because God the Father is love. So this isn’t up for debate. We all understand from a Christian perspective that Jesus, Yeshua, is love, no doubt about that. But, He was much more!

Yeshua, Jesus, Himself told us that He didn’t come to judge the world but to save it. Look what it says in the book of John;

I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness. If anyone hears My teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects Me and does not accept My teachings has one who judges him; the word which I spoke. That will judge him on the last day. John 12:47

When Yeshua, Jesus, came to this earth and walked among the people, He didn’t come to judge them, instead, He came to save them. Meaning, God’s plan for Jesus, Yeshua, at that time was to be our living sacrifice, our atonement, for the sins of this world.

But notice what else Jesus said, those who hear His teachings but they don’t keep them wasn’t being judged at that time but the word which Jesus spoke will JUDGE him on the LAST DAY. But let’s take a closer look at one of the most famous scriptures in the Bible, John 3:16;

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16,17

Usually, Churches use this scripture as a way to witness and bring people to Christ, and, it’s perfect for that. But, what I want people to see is what’s being said afterwards. Again, we’re told Jesus, Yeshua, didn’t come into the world to judge it but to save it. So again, at that time, Yeshua wasn’t there to judge the people but to make atonement for sin. He was the ultimate sacrifice.

Yes, Yeshua, Jesus, was all about love. We are to love one another and anyone should be welcomed in Church regardless of their race, color of their skin, religious beliefs or their sexual preference. However, the problem isn’t with those who come into the church, rather, that churches are catering to these communities. They begin changing doctrines to accomodate them. Those Churches are trying so desperately to convince the world that they’re about loving others, they tend to forget what else Jesus said, to FOLLOW His TEACHINGS. If a Church is celebrating transgender ideology or the LGBQT+ community then they are NOT following the teachings of Jesus.

As a true born again Christian we are NOT to celebrate sin. The Bible is VERY clear on this. We are to REPENT of our sins so we can continue to grow in Christ. We are to present the Gospel as outlined in the Bible and not twist scripture to fit our OWN agenda.

When a Church celebrates it’s transgender and LGBQT+ community, they’re doing nothing more than celebrating SIN!

Not one time in the Bible did God tell the Jewish people, “I love you and accept you for the way you are”. Absolutely not! Instead, if they didn’t follow His ways they would experience war, captivity, famine, plague and death. Everything that the US is and will experience.

God is very serious about sin, therefore, we should be serious about sin.

As a Christian we should be willing to speak the truth in a loving manner, not in judgement, not in anger, but in a Christ like manner. We should always display the fruit of the spirit, which is;

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22

Nowhere in this scripture does it say we are to force the message down someone’s throat, we are to argue with them, no. But, we are to present the Gospel as given by the the Bible in a loving manner, by the fruit of the Spirit.

In other words, we simply tell people about the Gospel in a loving kind manner, we plant the seed and if they’re not receptive then it’s between God and them. You, you just walk away.

Why Is Israel A Threat?

One must ask themself, why is the whole Middle East so threaten by Israel? And why all of a sudden did the UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) vote on Israel to give up their nuclear weapons? Let’s put this in perspective, shall we?! Israel is considered a Jewish nation, although there are a small percentage of Arabs who currently live within it’s borders. This means Israel’s main religion is a form of Judaism, but, Christianity is also present along with Islam.

Since the UN is so concerned about nuclear threats, why aren’t they pushing for Iran to give up their nuclear capabilities?

Because we all know IRAN is very unstable, unpredictable and has already made numerous nuclear threats to Israel as well as the United States. Iran hates Israel, they hate the United States and they can’t be controlled so why would the UN vote against Israel?

And what does this all mean?

It means the gathering storm that’s going to usher in the antichrist so he can take center stage. Because I believe it’s either the UN or WEF which gives the antichrist his power.

Just my thoughts….

Messiah A New Covenant

In the Old Testament God proclaimed He would make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah. But what exactly does God mean when He says, a New Covenant? To fully comprehend what God was referring to it’s important to understand what the word “covenant” means.

When God makes a covenant, it’s a promise which He declares. But God doesn’t just declare it, He establishes it, He’s faithful to it, and He remembers the covenant. But God also prepares His people for what’s going to take place, and in the case of the “New Covenant” God had His Prophets prophesied about what would take place. The Prophet Jeremiah states;

Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: “I will put my law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. They will not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me,’ from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their wrongdoing, and their sin I will no longer remember.”

Jeremiah 31:31,33-35

But the Prophet Ezekiel also says;

Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord says: It is not for your sake, house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations you went. And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,” declares the Lord God, “when I show Myself holy among you in their sight. For I will take you from the nations, and gather you from all the lands; and I will bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statues, and are careful and follow My ordinances. And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.

Ezekiel 36:22-28

From these two scriptures we see that God proclaimed a #NewCovenant with the #HouseofIsrael long before it took place. What I fine extremely interesting is, these are NOT the only areas in the #OldTestament which speaks of the New Covenant. In fact, the #ProphetIsaiah prophesied this in Isaiah 53 and we’re told in Isaiah 42:1-9 about God’s Chosen One, in Isaiah 7:14 we see the sign of a virgin giving birth to a son, in Micah 5:2 we see the ruler of Israel will be born in Bethlehem in Genesis 3:15 God puts enmity between the woman’s offspring and the serpents, in Zechariah 9:9 it tells He will enter Jerusalem on a donkey, Zechariah 11:12-13 tells how the Lord is betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, along with numerous others found in; Psalm 40:6-8, Isaiah 9:1-2, Isaiah 35:5-6, Isaiah 40:34, Daniel 7:13-14, Psalm 22:16, Psalm 22:16-18, Psalm 16:9-11, Psalm 69:21, Isaiah 25:7-8, Isaiah 50:3-6, Isaiah 22:22.

If you read all the scriptures listed, you get a bigger picture of Jesus Christ, the #JewishMessiah, found within the Old Testament. It’s also why I have such a hard time understanding why the #Jewishpeople can’t see their Messiah which is spoken of in the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings. Because when you really think about it, #Judaism does not and cannot change the heart, God proved that throughout the ages with #Israel each time they turned away from Him. But by believing in Christ Jesus as the Son of God, God gives a new heart of flesh and His Holy Spirit He puts within you.

All these things are prophesied in the Old Testament, but, it’s up to each of us to “see” what’s written.

Those who have eyes to see, let them see!
