Don’t Dim the Light

As I continue my journey through the scriptures, I find it extremely interesting how everything Jesus taught, during His ministry on earth, man embraces the exact opposite. Because when Jesus began His teachings, He taught the Good News, or Good Message, of the Kingdom of God. That is, we are to repent of our sins, accept Jesus as the Son of God, the Messiah, turn away from all sin and live a life pleasing to God.

But in today’s culture, lawlessness is rampant, murder is through the roof, theft is becoming legal, drug use is at an all time high, same sex marriage is legalized, transgender ideology is ruling the nation, abortion is being contested up to the time of birth, legal entry is not required, children are being exploited and sold, euthanization is accepted in Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, Maine, Colorado, New Jersey, Washington DC, California, Vermont and will probably spread into more US states.

Does this sound like a nation following God, following the Good Message which Jesus taught?

And remember what the Apostle Paul told us, how man would be in the last days, it was part of his teachings to the Churches. While Christians have heard this scripture many, many times when you meditate and reflect on it and compare it to what we see in the world today, there’s no doubt, time is drawing near. The scripture I’m referring to reads;

If you take this scripture and apply it starting at the very top of our leadership to the very least of mankind, it paints a very dark picture.

But, Jesus instructed us to let our light shine and to not hide it. Which means, as a believer I must stand on God’s TRUTH. His truth is simple, to repent, turn from your old ways, believe in the only begotten Son, Christ Jesus and follow Him.

your jesus also taught that it was okay to kill people for not agreeing with this religion, slavery is fine and killing kids for actions they didn’t do is also fine.

Happily, the sadistic fantasies of your religino will never come true. 2000+ years of miserable failure.

Hello and thank you for your comment. But I wanted to let you know that Jesus didn’t teach to kill, in fact, He taught that murder is wrong. And He’s the one that died for us so we could have a relationship with Him as our Lord and the Father.

The other thing is, religion is man made, it’s flawed because man tends to put their belief, their doctrines, their rituals above God’s. But, back in the day when Jesus dwelled among the Jewish people it was called the way, not a religion.

From the beginning God set up his laws and gave them to the Jewish people so they could be an example. A way for other nations to follow. And think about this, if someone comes into your house, don’t you have rules they must follow? Are do you allow a murder to walk in and make himself at home?

It’s no different with God, He created this world, this universe and everything in it so HE gets to make the rules.

But I appreciate your thoughts and thank you so much for the comment. Robin

Unsurprisingly, you’ve chosen to lie about what your bible says. This isn’t surprising.

“24 He said to the bystanders, “Take the pound from him and give it to the one who has ten pounds.” 25 (And they said to him, “Lord, he has ten pounds!”) 26 “I tell you, to all those who have, more will be given; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away. 27 But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and slaughter them in my presence.”” Luke 19

“11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in[h] blood, and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies of heaven, wearing fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule[i] them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, ‘King of kings and Lord of lords’.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, ‘Come, gather for the great supper of God, 18 to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of the mighty, the flesh of horses and their riders—flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great.’ 19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against the rider on the horse and against his army. 20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed in its presence the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur. 21 And the rest were killed by the sword of the rider on the horse, the sword that came from his mouth; and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.” Revelation 19
As we can see, jesus has no problem killing people and demanding they be killed.

Yep, religion is man-made, as is your personal religion you’ve invented for yourself, that “relationship”. Unfortunately, you need two or more actual existing beings to have a relationship.

It was a religion then too, but it’s common for Christians to deny that since their actions have made the term “religion” less than flattering.
Yep, this bible has your god giving laws, and they are amazingly disgusting on the most part. The few decent ones were around long before your cult. It’s always fun to watch Christians try to make up excuses why they don’t have to follow the laws that their jesus claimed they must follow, all of them.
You of course have a morality of little more than might equals right. This is nothing new for cultists.

Here’s where it says slavery is just fine:

“39 If any who are dependent on you become so impoverished that they sell themselves to you, you shall not make them serve as slaves. 40 They shall remain with you as hired or bound labourers. They shall serve with you until the year of the jubilee. 41 Then they and their children with them shall be free from your authority; they shall go back to their own family and return to their ancestral property. 42 For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves are sold. 43 You shall not rule over them with harshness, but shall fear your God. 44 As for the male and female slaves whom you may have, it is from the nations around you that you may acquire male and female slaves. 45 You may also acquire them from among the aliens residing with you, and from their families that are with you, who have been born in your land; and they may be your property. 46 You may keep them as a possession for your children after you, for them to inherit as property. These you may treat as slaves, but as for your fellow Israelites, no one shall rule over the other with harshness.” Levicitus 25

“18 Slaves, accept the authority of your masters with all deference, not only those who are kind and gentle but also those who are harsh. 19 For it is to your credit if, being aware of God, you endure pain while suffering unjustly. 20 If you endure when you are beaten for doing wrong, where is the credit in that? But if you endure when you do right and suffer for it, you have God’s approval. 21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in his steps.” 1 peter 2

and here’s where your god just kills kids for things they didn’t do:

“3 David said to Nathan, ‘I have sinned against the LORD.’ Nathan said to David, ‘Now the LORD has put away your sin; you shall not die. 14 Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the LORD,[a] the child that is born to you shall die.’ 15 Then Nathan went to his house.
The LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became very ill. 16 David therefore pleaded with God for the child; David fasted, and went in and lay all night on the ground. 17 The elders of his house stood beside him, urging him to rise from the ground; but he would not, nor did he eat food with them. 18 On the seventh day the child died. “ – 2 Samuel 12

All the scriptures you posted and be summed up this way. People are given opportunity after opportunity to repent of their sins, their wrong doing. Those who do not are basically saying they know better than God. So when one comes to the end of their life if they chose to live their life according to themselves instead of God’s ways, when they meet God the creator they will be punished for every wrong they did.

And sometimes God uses others to discipline His children or to draw them closer to Himself.

Thank you for the comment and God bless 🙏.

yep, your god is a murderous lunatic so your claims of how this character taught that murder was wrong are false.

nice of you to show that there is no free will in your cult with the admission that this god uses others. Any time this god would interfere with human action, free will ends.

Mankind are the ones who is rebelling against God. We each have a choice to make, to follow God or our own flawed ways. And like I asked you previously, do you allow just anyone to enter your home? Murderers, thieves, liars and the works?

Because, look at the world today, men constantly threatening nuclear war, there’s famine, water shortages in different countries, pandemics, devastating earthquakes, floods, wildfires, and many other things.

And have you noticed how people conduct themselves? People don’t know how to be nice anymore, they’re mockers, arrogant, conceited, prideful, and lovers of themselves. They don’t care about the less fortunate, to feed the poor because they are self absorbed and lack common decency. Immorality of all kinds is rampant in the world today.

And these are exactly what the Bible predicts as we draw closer to the end of times.

Why do you think so many people suffer from anxiety, depression, and are fearful of the future? Because all these things an average person can’t bear. But through God’s amazing grace and love He sent His only Son who was born in the flesh, to teach man how to live a life that is pleasing to God. But God’s Son was crucified on a cross so He could pay the debt for man’s sin and on the 3rd day He was raised.

But many choose to live a life that does not reflect God’s goodness and what you end up with is the world we have today. But believe, God’s judgement is coming and I pray you make the right choice.

Blessings to you and hope you turn to Christ and get to know Him.

Robin, you Christians can’t even agree on what you want to claim “mankind” is rebelling against. So your lie of a “choice” fails.

Christians have many versions of their god, hmm, which one do you choose and why?

Happily, the universe is not your imaginary friends “home”. Again, you Christians can’t even agree on what laws you want pretend your god has given you to follow. So your entreaties about a me allowing anyone to enter my home fail miserably. Your nonsense depends on baseless presupposition.
Yep, look at the world today, your god doing nothing at all. Poor impotent god. The world has been suffering war, natural disasters, etc. No god stopping them and no god needed.
People conduct themselves fine for the majority. You are simply upset your cult doesn’t have the power it used to. You try to hide behind whines of “people don’t know how to be nice anymore” when it comes to them ignoring your lies. People are the only ones who feed the poor, help the sick, etc. Your god does nothing at all. And hmm, how many Christians only benefit themselves with their money, Robin? The mega churches, those nice sound systems, pastors with ridiculous salaries, those who support conservatives who cut things like WIC spending for families, etc. Of course, you’ll try to lie and claim they aren’t TrueChristians™, but they are as Christian as you.

And, again, Christians can’t agree on what morality they want to lie and claim their imaginary friend gave them, so your complaints against morality fail. You don’t get to force your ignorance on others.

Christians have been lying about the “end times” for 2000+ years. Curiously enough, those Christians a couple of thousand years ago were making the same lies as you and still failing.
People suffer from anxiety, depression, etc for many reasons. You again try to lie about your imaginary garbage by trying to claim that common maladies are some “sign”. Happily, no one needs your imaginary god and your lies of grace and love, since your god is not depicted as loving or being worth any worship at all. It is a rather vicious petty thing, committing genocide; commanding genocide; killing people, including children, for things they didn’t do and had no control over and supporting slavery.

Happily, no one needs your god that needs a human blood sacrifice by torture. Again, you poor Christians can’t agree on what a “life pleasing to god” even is. I always love the greedy Christian, who is so pathetic he can’t be responsible for his own actions and needs someone else tortured to death for them.
Yep, you Christians point fingers at each other with your lies about how they aren’t reflecting god’s goodness. I’ve made the right choice, not listening to a cult’s lies. Curious how your prayers that I agree with you are still failing, Robin. Your bible promises true believers get their prayers answered. You, and every other Christian, don’t have that happen. You appear to all be frauds. Your sadistic little fantasies will never come true.

It’s rather simple, Jesus taught to repent from our wrongdoing and turn away from them. At the sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:3, Jesus begins by saying blessed are those poor in spirit, those who know and recognize they cannot save themselves and look toward God to save them. He goes on to say In verse 4, Bless are those who mourn, those who are very aware they’re sinners and mourn over their sin. In verse 5, Blessed are the meek, those who humble themselves and are willing to follow Christ. In verse 6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, those who are no longer seek the material world but is interested in doing what is good and right in the eyes of God not the eyes of man. At this point, verse 7 is giving a description of how God’s Spirit has transformed the sinner. Because the sinner is now merciful, they’re forgiving, understanding and often give words of encouragement. And verse 7 shows the dramatic transformation, they deny ungodliness and God’s Spirit begins working to sanctify them and this leads them to become peacemakers.

This is the actual biblical description of a believer. What you’re not understanding is ONLY those who follow this outline that Christ laid out will be called Children of God. Unfortunately many who start strong never make it because they’re not willing do all Christ taught in this simple outline. So those who don’t follow through may still believe they’re following Christ but if they’re not doing the work He commissioned, then they are stuck in their walk.

It’s the very reason Christ told us in Matthew 7:23, I never knew you, depart from Me you who practice lawlessness. Because they failed to do the will of God. Not to be just a follower but a doer of the word, hence the word disciple.

Hope this helps, God bless. Robin

It’s much the same baseless nonsense you wrote before, Robin. Again, without Christians being able to even show what this god considers as “sin”, your cult’s claims fail, and your promises of a cure for this “sin” are meaningless.

it’s notable that you try to change the sermon on the mount to fit what you want.
Every Christian claims they are the biblical description of a believer, and surprise, not one of you TrueBelievers™ can do what your messiah promised. You all claim only you and those who agree with you are “children of god”. It’s nothing new.

And yep, still with the usual Christian “my version is the only right one nonsense” that you all get from Matthew 7, etc.

Your bible gives a way to know who the true believers are and you all fail to meet that.

I just published a new post that may help you understand my view. But sin in God’s eyes is anything that goes against Him and His commandments. Well, I don’t necessarily agree with the latter part of your statement, because, it’s not what we believe who become children of God, but what He thinks.

Thanks so much for your thoughts but if you have a moment, take a minute and check out the new post. It may clear up how Christians behave and what they believe.

You make a lovely vague claim that anything that your god doesn’t like is sin, but you can’t show what your god doesn’t like, nor show your god merely exists.

and funny how you christians don’t follow those commandments, Robin. How many adulterers have you killed? How many disobedient children? Ignoring commandments is a sin per your own claims, so you are not a christian at all.

The OT is where Christians first learn of God’s commandments which he gave to the Jewish people. So if one wants to know what sin is all that’s needed is to read through God’s commandments in Exodus or read what Jesus spoke of in Matthew. The Apostle Paul also spoke how he didn’t know what sin was until he knew the law. Because the law condemns.

I do understand and it’s very unfortunate, however, as a Christian we’re not called to argue, get mad, make accusations or be judgemental against non-believers. Christians are called to be law abiding and not called to be part of these worldly dissension taking place today.

Christians are the ones who give Christianity a bad name and that’s due to one reason. Instead of following Jesus completely they continue living worldly lives. Which means they are not fully committed to Him. And that’s a very dangerous combination.

It’s always fun when christians want to claim tht the commandments were only to the jewish people, but then wnat to put those same commandments up in public buildings since they are sure that they apply to everyone.

So how many adulterers have you killed, since that is what your god commands and not doing what this god commands is a sin?

Funny how chrsitians can’t agree on what they are supposed to do. Some are quite sure that they are to argue, to accuse and to make judgements, and we can see the words to do so in your bible, from Paul. Chrsitians also can’t agreeon what laws to follow, so again, it’s just humans picking and choosing what they want, and each claiming some god agrees with them and only them.

yep, you cliam other christians are wrong and they claim you are wrong. You both claim each otehr aren’t committed to jesus and not one of you can show your version is any better than the next. It does get really tedious to see you all fail.

Actually, the Law was given to the Jewish people and not the gentiles. Paul tells us this in Romans 2:14. So He verifies this because remember, Paul was once a Pharisee He knew the Law and how the Sanhedrin Court operated.

God used His prophets to announce to the people He was going to do something new. He was creating a New Covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah which is found in Jeremiah 31:31-34 & Ezekiel 11:19-21. Of course you can also look at Malachi 3:1 which speaks of two messengers. One who prepares the way for the Messenger of the Covenant.

Since the New Covenant came through Christ sacrifice and sealed in blood, those who believe in Christ as the Son of God are those who believe by faith. And it’s our Faith in Christ Jesus along with God’s Spirit that allows us to keep God’s Law.

Arguing is not Biblical and the Apostle Paul admonish it within the Churches. It doesn’t mean we can’t discuss things or voice our opinion, but, we should never let it get out of hand.

Please understand, I’m not claiming other Christians are wrong, one can look at their own life to determine if their following Christ. But as a whole, if Christians see another within the Faith doing something which leads to sin we are instructed to speak to them privately, in a gentle manner, hoping it will turn them away from the act. But it’s obviously their choice to choose.

The Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:16-24 how to know if we’re walking in the Spirit or the flesh. So every believer will know where they stand even without another speaking to him.

So, you are a paulian rather than a Christian. That’s typical. No god, so no, it didn’t use prophets, and the stories of the jewish messiah don’t match your jesus.

As I’ve demonstrated, you don’t keep the laws of this god that are given in Exodus and Leviticus. Arguing is biblical: ““As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days, he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said. Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.”” Acts 17

“But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.” 1 Peter 3
You are claiming other Christians are wrong when you claim only your interpretation is right. Many Christians don’t like to admit that, and yep, you again claim they are wrong by claiming that if they don’t act like you, they aren’t following Christ.
And yep, Paul does say that in Galatians and every single Christian is sure that they are walking in the spirit and no one else is.

Good morning, hope you’re having a wonderful day. I think you’re getting a little confused, I’m not a Paulian, I’m a believer of Christ, the Son of God. But Paul was the main Apostle for the gentiles per Jesus in the book of acts.

There are ways a Christian can check to see if they are walking in the spirit. We can do a self evaluation, but, the best way is to ask God to search our hearts and reveal anything that isn’t godly.

But Jesus says there is only one way to God and it’s through Him. John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.

If one doesn’t believe in the Son and have a relationship with Him they will not have one with the Father per the words of Jesus.

                      Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. This is why a believer s walk is so important.

And I noticed you keep referencing God of the OT, but, per the scriptures I gave you earlier, God announced through His Prophets He was doing doing something new. Creating a New Covenant which involved putting a New Spirit in man, and writing God’s laws on their minds and heart.

And per God of the OT, anytime He created a Covenant with someone a sacrifice was always needed alone with blood.

When the New Covenant came into being, Christ became the sacrifice for the New Covenant, His blood sealed it, and through His blood attornment was made for our sins. This is why if one is to have a relationship with God, they must go through Jesus.

Blessings to you and have a great day. Robin

Robin, Jesus says to follow all of the laws. Paul says not to, so you seem to be a paulian.

Every christain claims to be the true christains and gee, your self-evaluation will always be the answer “yes”.

yep, your bible makes baseless claims like jesus is the only way to god, and nothing supports that or that your god exists. Each Christian has a different versions of jesus he claims to have a relationship with.

the gospel of luke goes quite a bit farther:

“6 ‘Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will begin to ridicule him, 30 saying, “This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.” 31 Or what king, going out to wage war against another king, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he cannot, then, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for the terms of peace. 33 So therefore, none of you can become my disciple if you do not give up all your possessions.”
The god in the OT said that there would be someone new. Your jesus doesn’t fit the prophecies.
