God’s Truth During Pride Month

This month many are celebrating Pride month which recognizes the LGBQT community. While I love all people, including those within the LGBQT community, as a follower of Jesus Christ I cannot support their cause. You see I believe what scriptures tells me, that we are made in the image of God. In fact, the scripture reads;

Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, “Let us make man in Our image, in Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.

As a Christian I know all sin is wrong, but, those who practice sexual immorality of all forms will pay a high price. God’s word tells us that we must stand on the truth regardless of it’s popularity. And His scripture tells us;

Genesis 2:21,24 – So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh. And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him. And the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man she was taken. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

From the very beginning, God intended man and woman to marry so they would become one flesh. When a Christian supports homosexuality, transgenderism, and bisexuality you’re taking on the ways of this world. Christians are called to stand in God’s truth, to speak His truth in a loving, caring manner and to stand against the flesh. Please understand, I’m not speaking these things out of hate, rather, out of love. Because love is telling people the truth about God’s word regardless of their background, environment or their ideologies. Then it’s up to each person to make their choice but at least you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

But understand, Jesus Himself reinforced this same issue when He stated;

Matthew 19:5,6 – Jesus answered, “Have you not read from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.

Did you catch that?

Jesus says, what God has joined together, let man not separate. When it comes to marriage, God only joins together man and woman, He does not join together man and man or woman and woman. Why? Because man and woman become one flesh, woman is made from man’s ribs. Man and man, or, woman and woman cannot become one flesh because it is not what God created from the beginning and they are not a part of one another.

It’s also not surprising that many in the LGBQT community will use as a defense, love is love. But when you compare their love to scripture, it doesn’t measure up. Scriptures tells us.

1 Corinthians 13:4,5 – Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I’m not here to judge, condemn, or even point fingers at the LGBQT community, but rather, speak God’s truth from a place of love. I don’t want to see ANYONE thrown into the Lake of Fire, unfortunately, many will choose this path because of the life they are leading. This is also a wake up call for many Christians who follow the ways of this world instead of following God’s truth. Because scripture tells us;

Revelation 20:13,14 – The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire. And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

If you’re a Christian and are following the ways of this world, please REPENT! If you’re a non-believer please understand, God loves you. The scriptures tell us;

John 3:16,17 – For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

God loved His creation so much that He was willing to send His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save us. So Jesus left His heavenly home, came in the flesh born of a virgin, lived a completely sinless life, preached God’s Word to the Jewish people in Israel, was rejected by them, and was sacrificed due to the hostility of the people. But on the third day He rose, was seen by His Apostles, by His disciples and then ascended back to heaven.

But the Good News is, God made a way and it’s through His Son.

If you cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ, admit that you’re a sinner, that you’re ashamed of all the things you’ve done, REPENT of your sins, and believe in Him, you will move from death to life.

Because we live in a broken word with broken and shattered lives. Each of us has some sort of baggage which we carry. It’s why we’re always searching for someone to understand us, someone who gets us, someone who can completely change us, someone that will always love us, and fulfill us. Someone who we can depend on, especially, during difficult times, someone who will always be there for us and never leave us. With man this is impossible because we’re all broken people. God knew this so He offers us a way, and it’s through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The only way we can ever be fulfilled is through the Lord Jesus Christ, He will never leave us, never forsake us and will gently guide us to all truth. Because it’s through Him we are reconciled to GOD!

And remember what the Prophet Isaiah said in the Old Testament which was prophesied roughly 700 years before the birth of Christ, it reads;

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.

This is what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you and me!
